Q. How do we place a permanent vacancy with TORS?
A. You can upload your vacancy straight to our vacancy database by logging in to the web site or you can complete the vacancy form on our web site. Alternatively email sue@tors.uk.com for fee earners or barrie@tors.uk.com for support staff, paralegals and all other staff. The more details we have of the vacancy, such as why the vacancy has arisen, the environment and type of caseload, salary and benefits offered, will enable us to send you only relevant CVs.
Q. How quickly can you provide CVs to us for our permanent vacancy?
A. Once we receive your vacancy and you have agreed our terms of business we will search our extensive register of legal candidates and send you CVs. We aim to get CVs to you the same day the vacancy is received.
Q. Are your services cost effective?
A. Yes you will find that by using TORS services it will prove a cost effective way of recruiting legal staff. The alternative is high cost advertising and as TORS rates are very competitive in the market yet retaining high levels of service you will quickly see that your recruitment spend stays on budget.
Q. How does the permanent recruitment process work through TORS?
A. After sending you a few shortlisted candidates for you to look through we will discuss these with you and arrange interviews on your behalf. After the interview we will liaise with you and the candidate to offer feedback and answer any further questions you may have. If you decide to make an offer to a candidate you should give your Consultant at TORS the details of the offer and they will then put this to the Candidate. Your Consultant will act as an intermediary between you and the successful candidate throughout the process and will confirm acceptance of the offer in writing, organise a start date and supply references.
Q. How do we book a temporary member of staff?
A. Firstly let us have full details of the booking via email, fax or phone to include dates required, level of candidate and department and we will let you know availability and the costs involved. We can supply legal secretarial, reception and admin staff, cashiers or qualified lawyers as locums to cover short or long term bookings. Once a suitable candidate is found we will confirm the booking in writing. Support staff are paid hourly and locums are paid on a daily rate. In both cases we invoice weekly.
Q. How do we agree TORS terms of business?
A. These are available on our web site and are downloadable. Once you have read and agree the terms you can tick the box and upload them. Alternatively, we will email you a copy to sign and return by email, fax or post.
